Nightwing is investigating a series of crimes with Joseph, as "Operator", supplying intel. The criminal behind this is a woman, who proceeds to both kick Nightwing's ass and flirt with him. Nightwing returns home and contacts Joseph, who is in the Batcave. They communicate using video chat.
Joseph: Well, was my intel right?
Dick: Yep; found her.
Joseph: Ooh, tell me how it went down when you stopped her.
Dick: I…I didn't.
Joseph: (blank stare) She got away.
Dick: Yeah, she kicked my butt from here to Port Carmine, and kissed me before vanishing.
Joseph: A girl…beat you up? (starts snickering)
Dick: Joseph…..
Joseph bursts out laughing
Joseph: The great Nightwing; hoisted by his own petard by a girl!
Dick: Very mature of you, Joseph. An 18 year old genius like you should not be acting like this.
Joseph: (laughing) I mean, Bruce's femme fatales aren't exactly run of the mill! I'm not sexist or anything but, damn! Usually they're throwing themselves at you while they're trying to kill you as well!
Dick: She was really good; Joseph. And she did flirt with me, kissed me too.
Joseph is laughing so hard he falls off his chair.
Joseph: (from the floor) See what I mean! I'm not laughing really at the fact a girl beat you. It's the fact that every time you do, even when you're beaten, they kiss you!
Dick: At least I've gone beyond kissing with women.
Silence, Joseph claws himself back to his chair, straightening his hair.
Joseph: That was a low blow, Circus Boy!
Dick: Not my fault you're still a….
Joseph: Not another word, Grayson!
Robin: (off panel) So you're a virgin, Kane? Some playboy you are.
Joseph: I'm not a playboy, I'm a workaholic! (beat) How long have you two been back?
Batman: (off panel) Long enough.
Joseph: Damn it! And my relationships and sex life….
Dick: Or lack thereof….
Joseph: Shut up! It's none of your business.
Dick: Don't worry, Joseph; I'm just joking with you.
Robin: I still think it's pathetic…..
Joseph: Can it, short stuff!
Dick: I do have some samples for you to analyze; she left some residue from when she cased her target tonight; among other things.
Joseph: Send them over tomorrow. I'm going to check on Sam and then go to bed.
Joseph leaves, his face is bright red.
Batman: That was…interesting. Now, tell me exactly what happened.
Joseph: Well, was my intel right?
