Intro Arc Notes: Joseph's House

Now we have two options for neighborhoods: Park Slope (the official neighborhood) and Brooklyn Heights (the alternative).

PARK SLOPE

Joseph's house is an older house on Prospect Park West, facing Prospect Park (alternatively it could be one of the houses on Montgomery Place). Its location on Prospect Park West is somewhere between President and Garfield. It has two floors, an attic, a basement (which is part of Joseph's lab, as well as storage), and a small backyard. Its proximity to Prospect Park is a bonus as it means a place for exercise,  etc. It's also a couple blocks from Sam's school (which in this case might as well be my old elementary school Poly Prep Lower School).

The main floor has the living room, tv room, dining room, kitchen, a bathroom, door to the backyard, etc. It also has the door to Joseph's private lab. Joseph's private gym is here too.

Second floor contains Joseph's room, Sam's room, a room for a bodyguard (in this case, Dick), a guest room or two, a bathroom, a master bath attached to Joseph's room, and Joseph's private study.

The attic serves as storage.

The basement has a small bit of storage, but also serves as Joseph's official lab. A further secret passage leads to Joseph's bunker that's built far below even the subway and utilities and goes under Prospect Park. This bunker has everything an urban vigilante would need, including a high powered computer, second gym, lab, library, gear area, garage, etc. A secret passage and ramp for Ronin's bike exits under the JFK memorial in Grand Army Plaza.

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS

Joseph, for this alternate house, lives in a 19th century brownstone on a tree lined street. It's 4 stories, basement, and the lab in a sub basement. While taller, it's also narrower, so the arrangement of rooms shift (for example, the private gym and Joseph's study sharing a floor). They aren't near a major park; but they are near the Brooklyn Heights Promenade and Brooklyn Bridge Park (Sam loves the Merry Go Round). If Sam goes to school in Park Slope, the bodyguard takes him there via subway and walking; if he goes to school in the area he goes to a school like Packer or Brooklyn Friends.

Joseph/Ronin's bunker in this case is in an old smuggler's cave from the 19th century and his bike launches from a hidey hole right by the Brooklyn Queens Expressway
