Let me start this off by saying the following.

I ABSOLUTELY HATE NAZIS!

When you have a nice chunk of your family tree BURNED off by those genocidal schmucks, you rather treat them less with due process and more with immediate and repeated punches to the face.

However, in the New 52, Shazam presently has two of his more famous villains:

Dr.  Sivana

and Black Adam

They haven't brought in everyone's favorite worm, Mister Mind, yet!

However, if there is a villain with STRONG ties to the Captain Marvel/Shazam mythos, it's freaking Captain Nazi

Now, newcomers might be asking "What ties?" Well, originally he is responsible for the death of Freddie Freeman's grandfather, and for crippling Freddie as well during one of his battles with Captain Marvel. However that's old continuity.

Also, him being a Nazi from WWII these days, cryogenically freezing aside, is a little hard given the fact that a lot of Nazis are presently...well dead and/or dying (and not fast enough in my opinion).

However, much to my own dismay, there has been a rather large uptick in Neo Nazism in this day and age (guess who they blame for all their ills. Hint: It's not the corporations, banks, and conservative policies that got us into this mess). But, this does give us a possible story hook for how we can bring in this particular villain into the 21st century.

There is also, I should point out, numerous tales involving the infamous Thule Society. A mystic society that many high ranking Nazis belong to, history has shown that it financed many an archaeological expedition in search of relics to give the Nazis power. This of course has led to many a story and video game.

So how do all these pieces fit in my head? Allow me to explain.

Imagine if you will, in a mansion somewhere in upstate New York or deep in the South (like Mississippi), there lives a dying old man. His name is Albrecht Krieger; and in his youth he was a high ranking Nazi scientist and member of the Thule society. During the war, he led expeditions into numerous sites in Germany for mystic relics to empower a soldier to become a superhuman weapon for the Third Reich. Of course, he never finished the job as Nazi Germany fell and, thanks to Operation Paperclip, he was taken by the US to be a scientist. While he claimed to be no longer a Nazi, in private he set up a new Thule Society and preached Hitler's teachings to his family and all that would listen. His cult grew, but his sons died with various skirmishes with law enforcement or were hauled off to prison after committing hate crimes. All that was left was his wiry punk Neo Nazi of a grandson, his namesake Albert (or Al).

Krieger knew his time was coming. In the years since the war, he finished his research and had the artifacts smuggled into the US; but he was too weak a vessel for what he planned. So he chose his grandson to be the vessel. Albert was already a sociopath, and he was ready to sacrifice himself should his grandfather's plans go awry. In a dark ritual under the mansion, Albert was empowered and became a towering image of what Hitler would consider to be the supreme Nazi soldier...and then snapped his grandfather's neck and took control of the cult. He declared that a Fourth Reich will be born. This of course would lead to a clash with Shazam. As for Freddie, we find out that his injuries came from something Albert or one of his followers did years ago, and once again becomes empowered by Shazam to fight Captain Nazi. In the end, Captain Nazi is defeated and thrown into Belle Reeve. Once again a wiry punk, Albert still has a mad gleam in his eye, and we can tell that Captain Nazi isn't gone for good.....

Anyways, that's what I would do if I had to bring in Captain Nazi into the New 52. Makes him more timely, updates his connection to Freddie, and of course connects him more to magic than just Hitler's nightmarish plans.
Just my take on how to bring Captain Nazi into the N52
